Up until now web series haven’t really been recognized on IMDB unless they had big stars or were affiliated with a TV show/network.  Web TV is a fast emerging medium in the entertainment industry and I am excited to be in on the ground floor of what I think will be the next big thing in entertainment.

My year has started off pretty good.  I’m hoping this will be a break-out year for me.  Here is a little of what’s going on thus far…First off I’ll be performing at The Improv in Schaumburg this weekend, which is one of the largest and nicest comedy clubs in the world.Secondly, I’ll be performing February 6th at the brand new Red Bar Comedy Show at Ontourage in Downtown Chicago. The club is run by the guys behind the popular podcast The Red Bar Radio Show (which I frequently co-host).  I was at the opening night of the new show and wrote a blog about it for Punchline Magazine, which you can read at http://punchlinemagazine.com/blog/2010/01/chicago-podcast-turns-into-popular-live-showFinally, I am in the works of starting a collaborative effort with a fellow comedian, which should bring big things in the near future.  So keep checking back at the site for updates.  And add me on Facebook for even more Dustin White.  I know you can’t get enough!

I’m currently in rehearsals for a brand spanking new sketch show that will feature myself and two other talented gentlemen.  It has always been my dream to be with two men at the same time…on stage that is.  We will be playing male and female roles so it is sure to be hilarious.  The show is going to be at Gorilla Tango Theater in Chicago the first three Friday’s in October at 10pm.  That’s October 2nd, 9th, and the 16th.  Get tickets and info at http://gorillatango.com/

The web series I star in (Assisted Living) is now available for free download on Itunes.  I’m very excited that the show keeps expanding to different mediums and gaining new viewers.  All of the webisodes in season 4 will be posted soon and hopefully we will begin work on season 5 real soon!

I have just been booked to open up for John Lovitz at the Schaumburg Improv August 27th-30th!  I have been a huge fan of John Lovitz since I first saw him on SNL when I was a kid.  I further grew to like his work in News Radio and films like City Slickers 2.  It should be a great weekend working with such a talented entertainer.   You can find tickets and info at www.improv.com  Of course in this business it is not uncommon for shows to be changed or cancelled.  I will make sure to post something if anything changes.
